After
enjoying a wonderful catered breakfast
the group leaves Redmond Town Center at 8:30 for the Cascade
Mountain foothills. Leaving
the urban area, cyclists enjoy riding up the Snoqualmie River
valley to Monroe the first sag stop. From there
the route follows a winding country road to Sultan, a gold rush
camp in the early 1870s, where it joins State Route 2. From Sultan
the road continues through several smaller towns (Startup,
Goldbar, Index, Baring and Grotto) until the end of the first
day’s ride at Skykomish.
Along the way enjoy a quick stop at the Index Latte Stand for
a great pick me & a fun tradition.
