Redmond Rotary is a nonprofit service organization and a member of the Rotary International (http://www.rotary5030.org/).  Each year the Redmond club sponsors a fund raising bike ride, RED-SPOKE, across Washington state from Redmond to Spokane.

The 300 mile ride takes bicyclists through amazing scenery as they pass over the Cascade Mountains, along river canyons and through rolling wheat fields. The ride is recreational, meaning riders go at their own pace with a goal of enjoying themselves and stopping as they wish to enjoy the beauty of Washington state. Meals are provided at pre-designated sites where bikers compare stories and build friendships.

Each Red-Spoke participant is required to contribute or collect a minimum of $550.00 ($450.00 for team members or additional family members) in addition to their registration and optional transportation fee. These donations are tax deductible and are used by Redmond Rotary to support several charitable activities including (2007) but not limited to:

• Friends of Youth
• Hopelink
